Friends, family and colleagues of Dr. Charles Sampson established an endowed fund at the University of Missouri in honor of his retirement. This fund will provide scholarship awards to underrepresented racial and ethnic minority students pursuing education in the Harry S Truman School of Public Affairs and the Black Studies Department. During his tenure in the Graduate School, he sought and successfully obtained more than $15 million to support graduate students statewide.
Charles Sampson, Fulbright Scholar, joined the MU faculty in 1988 initially serving as Associate Dean of the Graduate School and as Chief Academic Officer. He was granted emeritus status upon his retirement.
