The Lanis Hicks, PhD, Scholarship Endowment will support students in perpetuity, honoring the 36-year tenure of Dr. Hicks as she retires from the University. In addition to her commitment to students, Dr. Hicks adds many accomplishments to her name including, leading the Missouri Health Information Technology Assistance Center to reach a milestone in electronic medical record adoption, amassing more than 200 invited presentations and publications, consistently earning funding for her collaborative research in rural health and health economics, serving in international capacities with the World Health Organization, being recognized by students for decades as Outstanding Professor, and earning the Gold Chalk Award from the Graduate Professional Council in 2014 for her significant contributions to the education and training of graduate students. Serving students is the accomplishment of which Dr. Hicks is most proud. Thank you for contributing to this endowment. She will be so pleased to see students continually supported through this scholarship.
