Dali and Willi Meyers have been internationally engaged nearly all their lives. They met while studying in the Philippines, where he was working on his master’s degree in Agricultural Economics and she was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Library Science. As a result of their experiences, Willi and Dali strongly believe in the power of travel abroad to change students’ lives.
With this in mind, anonymous donors have pledged $60,000 in matching funds to create the Willi and Dali Meyers Fund for Student International Engagement in CAFNR. This fund will provide undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to participate in educational experiences related to hunger, poverty, malnutrition and international agricultural development. Such activities will expand networks, enhance knowledge and inspire students’ lifelong engagement in research, teaching and service.
We hope you will join the donor in honoring the Meyers’ commitment to students and the value of international experiences. For every dollar you give, the donor will give one dollar. In this way, your gift of $1,000 would result in $2,000 total to the fund. Likewise, a $2,500 gift would result in $5,000 overall.
